Strada Facendo is the ninth studio album by Italian singer-songwriter Claudio Baglioni, released in 1981.
The album mixes rock sounds with synth pop ones and was created by the artist in the United Kingdom in collaboration with the arranger Geoff Westley.Of the twelve songs contained, four are interludes performed by Baglioni with only voice and guitar and form a sort of biography sung in verse. The booklet also contains songs and a small story that continues as a subtitle.
The concept of the album is that of the road, of the parallelism between the self and others, between the singer-songwriter’s intimate interludes and the songs that tell of life experiences common to all.
Along the way he achieved excellent success, remaining first in the charts for sixteen consecutive weeks and thirty-seven in the top ten. The album, with its studied concept and with the title track which was the summer hit that summer, allowed him to win the award for Best singer of the year at Vota la Voce and the award for Best singer-songwriter awarded by the Record Critics Association. To date it is one of the best-selling albums ever in Italy with around 1.8 million copies
